Auckland Fish Market is a clever concept that brings Auckland's freshest seafood, fruit and vege retail specialists together on the one site. As well as a huge range of popular seafood such as snapper, tarakihi, gurnard, crayfish and mussels, our seafood retailers also stock a wide range of lesser-known (but equally) delicious species. The market is not just about seafood: meat, fruit and veges and a selection of cafes and restaurants are also here to tempt.

The market has the following three key areas:
Retail Market
The retail market is an innovative way to buy New Zealand's most extensive range of ultra-fresh seafood and other food products. We have four individual seafood retailers (selling a huge range of live, fresh and frozen seafood), a specialist green grocer (also selling artisan bread and prime New Zealand beef and lamb) and a delicatessen with a wide range of gourmet delicacies.
A range of prepared food is available to eat here, or take away, including New Zealand's only Hong Kong style restaurant.
Auckland Seafood School
The Auckland Seafood School is New Zealand's only dedicated seafood cook school also provides guests with hands-on experience. With more than 100 classes a year, there's something for everyone!
Auction
Auckland Fish Market runs New Zealand's only seafood Dutch auction. Although only approved suppliers and registered buyers may participate in the auction, members of the public are more than welcome to come along for a look. Wake up for the day with an espresso coffee when the doors open for pre-auction viewing at 0530 hours, with the auction getting under way at 0600.
